My husband is a night time fidget! He tosses and turns only stopping to turn his pillow. Having tried different sheets and quilts, even changed the drapes but it was still like sleepingwith an agitated beached whale!I need my sleep so I went on a mission to find a solution. That same day I saw these pillow slips in my 'recommended' by Amazon on the Home Page. Thought that I would give them a try and VOILA problem solved. My husband's problem was that he would get hot. I put on the pillow slip and of course he did not notice until the next day when he said that he had a great night's sleep and so did I. He said that the cool pillow made him so comforatble so that he could settle. I bought more for our camper and and for myself. I wake up without 'bed head'. My hair just looks so much better in the morning. Very similar to sleeping on a silk pillow slip.Highly recommended. Great for Holiday Gifts too.This product is amazing. Not only are the zippers tucked away as to not bother you while you are sleeping they are cooling and you are not turning your pillow over all night to get the cool side. That actually defeats the purpose, blocks and hinders the cooling pillow features.Happy sleeping!Not overly impressed. Yes, there is SOME notable coolness here. But the other side of the pillow is always cooler. I can't really, positively say that these have an additional cooling ability. Nice and soft but the product description was an exaggeration. Imagine that.Nothing will eliminate all the heat from your pillow except for an ice pack lol. But these work pretty well in higher temperatures too. My room often gets to 79 degrees in summer with AC on. These help a lot because I’m a hot sleeper. But when it’s cold they can get REALLY cold too. Their comfortable but can get a little dingy after a few months if you have hair grease like me.They are genuinely cooling- a plus is that I don’t seem to be losing as much hair as on the cotton pillowcases. I used one as a cover for a chillmax gel pillow (which really are excellent) but it seems to insulate you from getting the coolness from the gel pillow, plus since the arctic chill is only one side, you can't flip the whole thing to get the "cool spot". I've gone back to the M&S cooler pillow cases (made, I believe, from eucalyptus fibres) which really work with the chillmax gel pillow. I'm glad I got these on offer rather than the 20 quid they are now, because I'd have been quite cross. They are cooler to the touch than ordinary fabric, and that might be all you need, hence the 3 star review.‘Coolness’ doesn’t last very long at all, especially on a hot night. Having to move around to find a cool spot after awhileI don't know why people were giving rave reviews about this item as it does not work, it is just like a normal pillow case.
