I ordered these pillowcases in standard and king size because I use both on my bed. These standard white ones are BRIGHT white, looking slightly violet or blue next to other king size whites. The kings looked cream colored compared to the standard—even though I ordered white in both sizes. I almost returned them, then thought, nah, for the price, they'll do just fine. They're not any softer than other flannel sheets/pillowcases, just normal, and will soften with washing I'm sure. Normal thickness... not thin and not extra thick or anything. So now I'm just enjoying my multi-colored white pillows singing..."Lay your head upon my pillowwwwww. I did with these. They are soft and were nice and warm for the winter. Unfortunely they are also piling badly already - I have higher end flannel that hasn't done that yet in a few years use. But the real down side is they transfer color. I now have blue tinted nightgowns, and the extra pillows I have with white pillowcases now are tinted blue as well. This is after two washes.Very nice, comfortable after a couple of washes. Unfortunately (very slightly), the color on the navy blue set faded after only two washes. I bough pt them to match a Navy flannel sheet set I already had (20 years on, SO soft and SO comfortable!!!). Ok, so they matxhed when they arrived, but now they just coordinate. No big deal for me, but, if you want Navy, perhaps a consideration. The green plaid which I also bought also faded (tho less) and were never intended to match in the first place, so that's fine in any case....I absolutely LOVE these. I bought two sets for my twins. Butterflies and cars. They love them. So super duper soft and cozy, they just snuggle right up to them. I need a set for me too!I was a little scared to buy these after some of the reviews but glad I did. They are regular soft flannel. This is not the plush brushed flannel. This is just simple cotton flannel and I love it. I washed mine before using and did not encounter any problems, no strange smells, no big fluffs of cotton coming out. For the money this was exactly what I was looking for.Bought these pillowcases for my sons. Very surprised at the thickness. They wash very well. Didn’t shrink or bleed.Would happily buy more from this same brand.Love them.... A comfort to sleep on and they wash well. I use a few minutes of medium heat in the dryer and favor hanging them up outside to dry completely. A joy for the peepers. :)NOt quite the deep red color I was hoping for buy lovely just the same for Christmas.
